Could the plateau be over?

Sunday, August 09, 2009

For the record, I've never had a weight loss plateau before. Having it hover around the 13 pound loss mark for almost a week wasn't pleasant. Then, all of the sudden, I hit the scale this morning and...poof...15 pounds gone. More better.

Suffering through some trying times personally. But not letting any of it effect my eating habits. Unfortunately, it's been seriously negatively impacting my exercise habits. I did manage to jog 2.5K last time on the treadmill. Makes me think that I might be ok for the 5K at the end of September.

All in all, so far, not too bad. Could certainly be doing better, but there's some progress afoot. Need to start thinking about a real job. It used to be working from home meant socks were optional. Now it's becoming pants optional.

Rest assured that any and all video conferencing is done from the waist up.

Thanks for the comments. Very positive and I needed it.

Haha...well it is summer so maybe it's okay to be "pants optional" just as long as you don't do any at home meetings or video conferencing!

I'm with you on the trying times...it's certainly tempting to use it as an excuse to go off track. But then there are those other lovely times that are nice little moments of clarity in which you realise that actually THIS WEIGHT/FITNESS THING is the ONE thing that we definitely CAN control! Woo hoo! Hooray for having a choice in something and making our own (spark) destinies.

Keep it up ready for that 5k...you can do it! AND well done on the 2lbs this week! Yay!
