"Life's not about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain!"
The storm will always pass but why wait? If you wait for the storm to pass, you are wasting time. Kids are a lot smarter than we are. It is never raining to a kid. Wayne Dyer tells the story of the family's going to the beach in the late spring or early summer when the weather is not quite hot yet and the water hasn't warmed up. He says to look around. The parents are all bundled up on the beach as far from the water as they can get. the kids have no concept of cold. All they know is that this is the beach. It is here. It is now. And...they may not get back to the beach for a long time so the kids, in various stages of undress play on the beach and frolic in the water. the parents can be heard muttering "look at those crazy kids, don't they know it's cold." If they could stop playing for long enough, the ones with the right outlook, the kids, would probably say "look at those crazy adults, don't they know this is the beach?!
In the good book it says it is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness. Rain and darkness are going to happen. Do not despair. Both of these phenomenon are temporary. Light a candle, even if it is only a small candle on a birthday cake. Dance in the rain, even if you can only do a simple box step. Do not let the rain or the dark prevent you from living your life to its absolute fullest.
