The last week has been pretty good. I went to a brewer game and DIDN'T have the nachos in the baseball cap, or the beer and peanuts or the long licorice rope. I ate before I went and was content with a diet coke. Don't get me wrong, I had my days where I had my red vines or my cappuccino but the true reality is that "I gotta Live!" If this is a lifestyle change instead of a diet, I will have those those things in my life,. The key is to own those moments just like I own the good days and to make room in my food plan. Initially I found keeping the food log tedious but I find it really helpful.
I'm still seeing great results from boot camp. This is the start of my 3rd week and I am down 7 lbs, well on my way of meeting my goal of 20 lbs. The thing is that I don't LOVE boot camp but I love the results that I'm getting. I dread going and then once I get there, I pretty much hate it and think I'm going to die. I would love to find something FUN that gets me the same results.
I find it amazing that I can chug along on my treadmill...heart pumping and out of breath but not breathing like a locomotive. I don't know if it's my allergies or just the uneven terrain but running outside is a killer and I always find myself panting & coughing up mucus. Running on a treadmill makes you feel light...you don't realize how heavy you actually are until you're trying to run under your own power...Yeesh!
