Health & Fitness are a STATE of mind & I just stole the MAP!

Wednesday, August 05, 2009

For months I have eaten right but didn't really emphasize my fitness.

But I kept telling myself that healthy choices still make a difference.

But I know this about myself: When I don't see progress, subtle changes are all I need to get the momentum back. Kinda like putting pins on a map as you go along in your journey.

One at a time....You have to start somewhere!

Eliminate that slice of cheese.

Ask for your dressing on the side.

Add an extra glass of water in your day.

Park far away from your destination to force a few extra steps.

Take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Go dancing with friends.

Health and Fitness are for life. Making it your LIFESTYLE is not easy!

You are right, it's NOT easy! But it really is worth it in the end. And, I think that once you adopt a healthier lifestyle, it gets much easier. And with small changes at first, you are really helping to pave the way to a better healthier lifestyle. (GO YOU!! YAY!!) You eventually get used to it! (except for today, i'm so upset over BMR that i've been binging. Have you read it yet? I wont say ANYTHING, promise! It's a wonderful book.)
There is a fine balance between fitness and eating "right" that many of us fall short on...but it's really not as easy as it sounds. Every person is different, and our expectations are different. If you EXPECT to be a size 2, well, you may be in for disappointment. (I know I would!) But, if you expect to be healthy and have health related goals...I really think that you'll find yourself happier in the long run.
Except today...I think I need chocolate. ::::sigh::::
Take care, darlin'!!!

Very true, but it is certainly worthwhile! Just looking through your pics, it looks like you have been doing awesome, very inspirational stuff. Keep up the great effort!
