Stuck here, need to move forward.

Wednesday, August 05, 2009

So I lost 40 pounds. Yay. I don't sound thrilled, do I? That's because that accomplishment came and went a long time ago and I have no new accomplishments. I'm stuck at 210 and although I need to continue losing weight, I feel no motivation whatsoever. Oddly I really feel it's impossible (even though my -40 lb says its not) Ugh!

On the contrary... It is very possible to reach your desired goal, my lady! You just have to keep trying, and find ways to bring your motivation back!

I got to this point last January, and ended up gaining back almost all of the 57 pounds I had worked so hard to lose... Tsk.. Tsk.. Tsk.. So DEPRESSING!!

After re-gaining the weight, (now) I am kicking myself HARD for not continuing to follow my dream, and continuing to reach for my goals. You may not realize what you have done by losing those 40 pounds, but you sincerely would, if you went back to the old you...
Remember how unhappy she was????

YOU are WORTH THIS BATTLE... Don't GIVE UP the GOOD FIGHT!!!!!!!!!! We all care, and want you to be the BEST PERSON you can be! I know in your heart, that YOU DO TOO!!
Lots of LOVE, Julie emoticon

I think we have all been here at one time or another if we have been fighting this for long. One thing I have learned is it is up to me to reach deep down and find that motivation. Sometimes it is trying new recipes to avoid getting stuck in boredom with my food. Sometimes it is getting a piece of clothing that I love that is just one size too small. Sometimes it is treating my self to a me day, which to me it just a quite time alone watching the boats in the river and eating what I have prepared as my new exciting recipe, and reflecting on how far I have come. Simple things sometimes are the best motivator. When I was going through cancer with my parents we all learned at that time to take one day at a time, in this battle it is much the same. emoticon
