Going to Get Better

Sunday, August 02, 2009

Ok, in my steely determination, I'm not going to repeat the mistakes last week. No more relying on unreliable people, and I need to plan my own activities better in advance. My friend who is so unreliable, her husband asked my husband, who is a pharmacist for prescription pain killers. They have asked for this before, and I'd already told them "no!". They know that my husband could lose his liscense to practice pharmacy, and it would ruin our entire family.

We need to distance from these people! Not good, not good. There seem to be so few good reliable people with integrity any more.

I'm going to make this week better!

Well somehow I seem to be a magnet for exploitative and dishonest people, although fortunately this is the first time this has happened in years. I don't know if it's because I live in the heart of a major metro area or what, but I seem to have a hard time meeting friendly people with integrity. The people around here are all very suspicious and aloof, probably because of being in a large city. I've been wanting to move, but my husband doesn't want to. At this point I'd love being in a small town or a rural area.

I definitely feel much differently about these "friends" now than I did a week ago, and not better. It is also odd, they have an only child, a son who is 2 years older than our younger son, and they both go to different schools, yet she is always calling me to have their son play with our son.
