I threw caution to the wind... and survived!

Saturday, August 01, 2009

Yesterday I had to attend a funeral so a dress skirt was in order.

It's really hot here in Mississippi so I opted to wear some pretty sandals with my outfit - in the past I would wear pantyhose or a pair of spandex shorts underneath the skirt.

Well, I decided to try to be a normal person - no spandex shorts to keep me from chafing.

Yup, it works - no chafing! Gosh but I love being Normal!!

**Too funny ONEREALLYBIGDOG! I can always count on you to be uplifting!

***Thanks, it was one of DH's Graduating Class. They are dwindling down now, he graduated H.S. in 1939.

***How well I understand Carol! I heard of those slips but never could find one! Now I am thankful not to need one!! Your day will come too!!

    Sorry for your loss.

I chafe and wear pantyhose, with split slip on the bottom. Instead of being a half slip, it's like a pair of shorts made out of slip material. I'm looking forward to the day I'll be normal. For now, the split slip keeps the pantyhose from rubbing against each other, balling up, and ripping on the first time I wear them.

I never thought about spandex under dresses before-now I know how they do it! Well.......the new style, as I've seen it, is spandex leggings and "swing" tops. That'll make lots of women happy! I'm glad that I've been blessed with nice legs, except at the top, but that's getting better, thanks to hours and hours on the treadmill!! Thanks for the laughs and I'm sorry for your loss........but, not your weight loss, my gosh! You're down there Girl!!!

    Have a happy day!

Congratulations! I have noticed the same thing this summer when I wear my summer dresses without shorts under them. Woo Hoo!

I am so sorry for the loss that had you going to a funeral yesterday.

emoticon Linda!!! I've never tried the spandex shorts. I used to wear girdles when I first started wearing stockings, but then pantyhose became popular, and that was (thankfully) the end of that. But chafing is the pits. I actually think I have decent legs, but when I chafe I am reminded that maybe they still have a way to go.

That's great news for you. I can't wait until I can wear a skirt without shorts. I fear it's a long way off, but I'll get there, eventually.

Spandex shorts have to be as miserable as panty hose! Good for you! It feels great to be comfortable and slim at the same time!
