We must go on and live life

Saturday, August 01, 2009

Pete has been gone now for almost two months now I still miss him terribly. I am now ready to go on and find a new dog to love and care for but I am looking to adopt another silky terrier. I have put in my application but have not heard anything yet. I have gained weight instead of losing I am determined to go forward and not give in to my depression. I avoided eating pastry this morning at the hair dressers. Please pray for my special little pal Pete and me!

Awhhhh I know how you feel. Our little pets are family to us and I always say they are 'our angels hanging out wearing little fur suits" what other being loves us so completely?

We lost our beautiful Alaskan Snow Cat 'Chin Chin' several years back and I cried like a baby. She is on my pic page. We still have her big boy Keanu...but he's getting up in years too and at 16 I worry about just how much longer we'll have him. I love that cat...I call him my little brown boy! emoticon

I'm saying some prayers for you and yours...blessed be! emoticon

Losing a beloved pet can be so hard! I remember when I lost my cat just before we moved from our 1st married home - she had been with me since childhood - I sat by her grave & mourned her like family, it was so hard to leave even her body there! Your Pete was a darling. I hope you find a new little friend, not the same of course, but healing none the less.
I do wish you good fortune & God's guidance in finding a new job. My DH & I retired last fall, so we are out of that issue, but I know how tight the job market is, & it is always harder for "seasoned" women. Have you considered working in the caring for elders field? There are so many of us baby boomers to care for, & the paperwork & personal skills for supervising staff is similar everywhere, plus they are not looking for youth so much as a compassionate soul the elders can relate to...
Congratulations on your son's graduation, a major accomplishment.

So sorry your little Pete has been gone . I saw his pic he was so cute.

Recently I saw post about adopted dogs that government give up not healthy dogs and it is very big problem. I owned dog in Moscow but in NY my family owned only rat. When it gone we missed her very much. Now our son graduated from college. DH & I do not have any pets.
