I definitely just fell into the vacation rut, one of the oldest tricks in the book. You know, where you go on vacation, and when you come back you just can't seem to get back into the normal routine? Well, I've been back over 2 weeks now and I still haven't been able to get my healthy life back to normal! (And the funny part is that I actually exercised on vacation!)
I could give you several excuses for why it just hasn't happened. But they don't matter. What matters is that I've realized that while I've been busy at home and work, I haven't been on SP as much. And not being on SP has kept that healthy lifestyle out of the forefront of my mind.
Things are calming down a bit in both arenas, so this is a good time to get back into my regular habits. So here I am today, posting on SP. Instead of buying dinner out, I'm planning to stop by the store and pick up ingredients to make a quick & healthy new recipe as well as some healthy breakfast & lunch options. I went to the gym this morning and plan to go the rest of the week. The plan is to get back into my regular gym routine and get back to eating healthy, but I won't be using the nutrition trackers. I'm going to see how far I can get on my own.
There is no reason that I can't gain control of my life. The reins are right there for me to grab...it's time to stop being lazy and just reach out and grab hold of them.
