I wasn't going to push it. I was just going to take a nice stroll on the treadmill for fear that I would hurt my back again. I did a little yoga to loosen up before starting.
But then, around the 1/2 mile mark, the tunes on my iPod got me jazzed. I decided to go for broke. After 30 minutes and 2 miles, I was feeling pretty high. That runner's high I barely remember from my youth.
A shower never felt so good.
It's been a tough 24 hours knowing that my wife brought ice cream into the house. Not normally an issue with me, but it's my second favorite flavor and I haven't had it in years. Now that's just mean. They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. This may prove to be my undoing.
