Staying focused

I don't know if anyone else has this problem. Recently I took a vacation, then I had guest come to visit me. While on vacation, I thought it would be easy to stay on course with my diet and exercise regiment. This was not the case. I was gone for 4 days and was only able to workout 1 day. Then when my family came to my house to visit, I didn't work out at all-imagine that.

Do any of you have suggestions on how I can prevent the interruptions on future vacations and family visits?

    On past vacations walking was one of my main ways of keeping active and healthy... well, that and you could always find me in the pool at some given point. If no pool... well then I think we need to work on getting you one!

    SP had posted a video on a quick little cardio workout that you really need no equipment for and you could do anywhere. Check their video section for it... that could help in a pinch too.

    When you vacation, try to stay in a hotel that has a fitness room. If not, then try going out for walks in the morning or afternoon. I also know many rooms now offer dvd's in them; so bring your workout dvd with you. This works even if you are staying with friends or relatives.

    As far as when family comes to visit, just make sure you tell them what you are doing as far as exercising, and they are more than welcome to join you. I would suggest trying to get your workout on in the early early a.m. while they are sleeping.
