Thanks for watching ET (and link to the story if you missed)

Hi Everyone

Thanks for watching the Entertainment Tonight story!

Responding to some comments from members who wished it was longer, here are a few thoughts about this:

1) Anytime we're able to get a positive story about SparkPeople in front of millions of viewers on such a great show - especially one that prominently shows the logo and URL - then we'll take it! This helps us continue to build momentum. So, we thank ET very much for covering the amazing story building here every day. They are "ahead of the curve" in understanding that something great is happening at SP.

2) This is one reason our book is soooooooooooo important to everything we're doing. If the book sells well, then EVERYTHING will change in terms of getting additional media coverage. We'll have so many people interested in covering SparkPeople that I won't be able to keep up. And of course, I'll want as many members as possible to join me and our team in this coverage. Bottom line, if the book sells well, we'll be spreading the spark to so many more people.

Here's a link to the ET story if you weren't able to see it (one fix on the text on their site - thousands sign up every day, not month):

SparkCheers and thanks for your support!

I really enjoyed watching the ET segment. SparkPeople has definitely become so much more prominent since I joined two years ago. I'm so glad that the spark continues to spread to countless of people worldwide! Congratulations on all the amazing achievements, and much success with the upcoming book!

I normally avoid television, but I did watch ET. Although the SP part was very brief, it was great publicity. emoticon

I normally don't watch ET as it's so fast paced & I have a hard time keeping up. Watched it last night and enjoyed the segment on Sparkpeople. It was great seeing people I feel like I know and snapshots of the Spark Rally. Good Job!

My nutritionist suggested Spark People after our initial phone call interview. This place is fabulous and although she has given me the guidelines for all my nutrition - it is the support, encouragement and love here on Spark People that keep me focused on the goal and I have reached 25% of my goal with the kind of help here on Spark People. I recommend it to everyone I know!

I wish they didn't follow up the SparkPeople section with a longer report on the upcomiong show about how happy the overweight people are. The heavy guy is going to pick one of the heavy ladies. It seemed like an odd combination of shows

I sat mesmerized in front of my tv, waiting for the Sparkpeople section. When it came on, I screamed for my husband to come and see it. I, too, wish it was longer, but Chris makes an excellent point. Anytime he can get SP out in front of people, even for a few minutes, is a good thing.

I am looking forward to the book and will do all I can to help promote it.

Wonderful! I learned about Spark People on Good Morning America a couple of months ago when they had a doctor on who had lost 100 lbs. She mentioned that it was through Spark People. I thought she said Smart People and it took me quite a lot of digging to find out what she actually said. As soon as I read the SP home page, I was on board and have been losing weight ever since! I spread the spark whenever I can and I tell people it's the intelligent person's weight loss plan! Thanks Spark Guy! emoticon

    Hi Chris!
It was great seeing SparkPeople get some media coverage. I do my best to explain just how wonderful of a site this is. Frankly, Im not sure I can articulate just exactly how beneficial SP really is and to so many people ! I do "Spread the Spark" regularly. I cant wait to get my copy of the book when it comes out ! I was one of the lucky ones who won a copy in the drawing!
Best wishes to your and your family !

I didn't get to see it last night, but just watched it on the link - great stuff! I am trying to get my sisters to join, and they agree it has helped me, but they aren't ready - YET. I keep spreading the spark, though... my gastroenterologist's nurse took a card, and the PA asked me for one for his Mom! I couldn't do it without Spark!

I've been part of Sparkpeople for almost a month, and I have mentioned the perks of the site to many of my friends. Watching the spot on ET last night was motivational to me and it is testament that the support and guidance Sparkpeople.com provides the public is well worth the effort.

This the first and ONLY site that fulfills everything I've been looking for to help me change my life-style and look and feel better about my health and my body.

Today is my Day 1.

Although I have hardly got started, I have to say thank-you to each and every person that created this amazing community. This is such a positive and encouraging environment with MOUNDS of amazing tools to keep me on track.
