I had my first workout with Brianne on Friday. She kicked my butt. First, we discovered how truly unbalance and uncoordinated I am on the bosu ball. Then, she made me do forward lunges until I fell over. That didn't take long--about 4 laps of the cardio room at the gym. I got nauseous and had to drink some orange juice. Apparently, to begin with, your body tries to burn the insulin stores instead of burning fat, so you have to keep your blood sugar up. Good to know.

Monday, after a weekend of hobbling around the house, I did 20 minutes on the eliptical machine and 20 minutes on the bike. Felt ok about it.

Tuesday, I did the workout Brianne laid out for me...except the lunges. I replaced them with leg presses. My body refused to let my knee touch the ground for lunges, so I improvised.

My legs are feeling better today, but I don't do the strength training again until tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll be able to lunge around the cardio room again.

I've been focusing on eating 5-6 small meals. I can already tell a difference in how I feel. And it's a huge difference of what's on my plate at dinner! I can even tell a little bit of difference in my stomach--not much, but enough that my husband noticed, too.

    It's so great when the dh notices that! I've yet to really shrink my abdomen .. but my legs and arms are definitely smaller!
