Stuff breaking won't break my joy!!

Saturday, July 18, 2009

I wonít be home tonight before midnight to get a blog in, so Iíll do a quickie now.

My kids are at the Rock the River concert out at LSU. Before they left they went up into the attic to get collapsible chairs to bring along and the spring from the attic door came loose, flying across the hall and living room. UGH I hate when stuff like this happens while my husband is out on his ship! NOW there is no water anywhere in the house. UGH again! lol I am not letting these things get me down. I am so excited about going to this concert and just being OUT, away from the house, and with no kids even! SO rare for me. I just so wish my honey could be with me instead of slaving away for our family.

Iíll fill you in on the concert next time. I hope each of you is having a GREAT Saturday!!!

Wow Rock the River concert! How cool is that...I love Billy Graham and Franklin Graham from providing that for our young people! Now more than ever we need our young people to rise up!

Oh, Sue. *hugs* That is so hard. I am so thankful that God revealed Himself, His great love and grace to you at such a painfilled time. I'm so thankful that He grafted you into the seed of Abraham and that we are sisters!

Dawn, I have no clue why there's no water! We are planning to buy this house in two years and the landlord figures the pump for the well is broken. He informed me this morning we can get parish water (what would be county water or city water for most folks). So tomorrow I go shell out $400 to set that up and hope they can get it done the same day. Katrina trained us well on living with bottled water, though, so we're surviving!

As I am posting this, you are probably at the concert having a wonderful time. I am so happy that toe is not keeping you at home. And with a house full of kids, it's nice to have an opportunity to go out with other friends for a change and let the kids have theri own fun.

I have been catching up on your blogs. (I think you may have inspired me to get into the habit as well). As I was reading through them, you mentioned your two Melanies. I also was priviledged to mother a daughter named Melanie for just over three years, till the Lord saw fit to take her home to be with Him. She was my precious joy. It was during the six months prior to and the year following her stepping out of this life into the next, that God revealed His personal love for me in a relationship with my Savior and Lord, Jesus!

Thank you for being such an inspiration to so many here on SP!

Love ya gal,
Sue

Have a great time at the concert honey! I am sorry that the attic door messed up. Why don't you have water in the house? I think I missed something. I'll look forward to your report about the concert. I'm thinking about you and wishing you great joy! Love, Dawn emoticon
