Queen of routine

Saturday, July 18, 2009

I really am one of those people who thrive on routine. Knowing what's coming next helps keep me in line. It isn't necessarily a bad quality but it doesn't serve me well when change arises. Hence my major flop this week when it came to making healthy choices. I am so used to being home everyday, cooking 90% of our meals and having designated times to workout. But when hubby got 7 days off from work all that went out the window. We were out and about everyday and probably ate a majority of meals out of the house. Bad for the wallet and the waistline. I only worked out one day the entire week. So needless to say the scale was way up this week. The price I pay for being so reckless. I know there is nothing wrong with letting lose once in awhile but their is a difference between that and just going completely overboard. While I am queen of routine I am sorely lacking in balance. I am all or nothing and that isn't my favorite thing about myself. But I did realize all of this as it was going on and hubby and I have already set out a plan for next time. I am back to tracking my food and planning out yummy nutritious meals. I am also planning a workout for today. Ah, feels good to be back in control:)

Forget the diversion. You are on your way and it will pay off. My husband is my biggest tempter and I succumb so often because of his bad example, but it is ultimately my fault.I had the choice!! I hope you have a good week. (Beautiful children you have!!!) From Mcgee

You will get there Chrystal. When hubby started working from home many years ago our whole world got turned upside down. We made it through and you will too!

Maybe the next time he has seven days off you both can work together to pack at least a healthy lunch and splurge on dinner. That way you aren't stuck at home but you can also eat right--just a thought. Pita pockets, or even turkey sandwich are quick and easy and you can still be on the go!

Glad that you got your control back ,this week I feel like you I have had trouble getting back into the routine I am determined to do it --- I want those 60lbs off by christmas so I need to stay focused on the big picture! I love being busy but miss the workouts.

I will help keep you focused -you have come so far and you are looking amazing--keep it going!

You sound so much like me these past few weeks Amy has been here. We can both pat each other on the back next week because we are back on track;-) I am glad you & your hubby had those days together though. We all need time with our families.
