I am officially beginning to get discouraged. Scale said 136 this morning. I gained 3 pounds!? Give me a break. That thing is begging to be thrown out the window.
I DID have a cheat day on Saturday, but it was around 2,000 calories and I hiked for almost 3 miles even though it was my "day off". I don't know where I'm going wrong. For now, I'm bumping up the exercise to 60 minutes a day, 5 days a week. If I can't work that in, I'm making sure that I'm burning at least 2500 calories for the week.
I also had un-official engagement photos taken on Saturday and oh my! do I have a poofy little gut in every photo! I can't believe I forgot to "suck it in"! I was down about it for a while, but just scheduled another session with my friend for later this year. Fall foliage type stuff, and hopefully a few pounds down.
This Saturday marks the official one-year point until the wedding! Totally mind-boggling. I'm sure it's going to fly by. It still seems like we only got engaged a week ago - and it was 3 months!
I shouldn't be writing this blog right now since I'm so grumpy, but I wish I could go back in time and tell myself to not put on so much weight. It is sooo easy to put on and sooo hard to get off! Honestly, I went from eating half a pizza with NO exercise to eating right - restricting calories and exercising my BUTT off.. shouldn't I see a decrease in weight.. not an increase? Because of one day of unrestricted eating, I gain 3 pounds? How in the world does that make sense?
This weekend should be nice anyway.. we're celebrating our "negative 1" anniversary by having dinner at our wedding venue (which is a restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays) and we're going camping and kayaking. I'm hoping I can just forget about my weight for a while, keep working hard and see the results later on. I'm thinking about weighing in every 2 weeks instead of every week.. it's making me batty (obviously!).
In August I'm planning to start Jillian's Making the Cut program. I hope that it can kick me over this plateau/fluctuation thing I've got going on here. There's also P90X at my disposal, so I might integrate that in after Making the Cut.. then probably back to BFBM and NMTZ.
Here's to hoping next week is better.
