Moving towards new goals!

Well I've been using the Sparkpeople program for two years now and have shed most of my pounds. Now I'm focusing on the last few and I'm pumped. I took a Sparkbreak for a few months and maintained mostly. Now Iím mentally ready to do what it takes to achieve my next stage of personal goals. I want to weigh 135 lbs & begin train to become a long distance runner! If someone would have told me that I'd only be about 20 lbs away from that goal today I would have probably laughed in their face from disbelief. I never imagined that I would be able to do this. I used to wish that I had enough money to do some kind of bariatric surgery to help me lose the weight. I thought I would never achieve my goals on my own, and well, Sparkpeople proved me wrong. I know that I can achieve anything I put my mind to. Iíve been exercising consistently and havenít even created a goal that was fitness based (always weight based) before so my long term goal is to run a marathon! I know that I can reach this goal by achieving it in small increments. So this week Iím going to start by working on running a non stop mile! From there I will work on running 4 miles and so on. I know Iím capable and I have plenty of tools and resources to help me along the way. I have strength, will power, determination, occasional self control, and most of all the support of millions of Sparkpeople members who are going through the exact same thing. Iíve already lost one hundred lbs and only have about twenty more to go. I know I can do this & for those of you who are strugglingÖLet me be the first to tell youÖ YOU CAN TOO!
