Slacking on my blogs (Walk MS Modesto)

Friday, July 10, 2009

I know I promised I would blog about the MS walk I went on. I think that if it had gone way better I would have blogged a long time ago. The walk itself went pretty well, unfortunatly for me my family and I had recently moved here to Cali. So I didn't have any friends yet and no where to fundraise. My Inlaws told me that they would walk with me and my family. It irked me that they wouldn't even wear an orange shirt like everyone else. Apparently orange wasn't their color. It was a small walk. I didn't get a t-shirt because I didn't raise any money. So after all was said and done we went home a little upset but I forgave them for being so oh how would you put it, ignorant? I think thats god. Because this walk ment a lot to me, my husband and my kids understood that because they have walked with me for the past 5 years. I wish my BFF was here she soo would have waked with me, She would have painted herself orange for me. Ugh! Anyway, I am sitting here to also tell you about a fundraising idea I am going to do here on Base. If you have ever heard of the game called Bunco well I got together with a person here that is helping me set up a Bunco fundraising night. In October and I am all sorts of excited. I will tell you more as it gets closer. So far its just things getting put into place like a bunch of orange colored dice heheheeheheheheeh! Wish me luck!!!!!!
