Getting Back on Track

Sunday, July 05, 2009

It has been a few weeks since my last login. I kinda got off track for a number of reasons, but I am back now. My son in law is doing better now, his leg is healing nicely since surgery. I have not moved in with them, my landlady offered to lower my rent to 100 dollers a month. I was thankful and took her up on the offer. I found out I had broke my heel from trying to shift my weight off the heel spur. My foot Dr. called it a stress fracture. Of course it was from being so overweight. I wasn't happy with what she told me but it was the truth. I was then told I would be off work for 6 weeks and could not be on the foot. I hav to use a walker when up and only to bathroom. Thank goodness my brother lives with and can help. I am now so ready to got back to work and on the right track.

It's good to hear from you again. It must be hard to be laid up for six weeks - maybe it will be good planning time for all the things you want to do when you are able. Also maybe a lot of computer time now that you're back.

I've been off my plan for a couple of days and expect I'll probably be up a pound (or three) this week. We had a party for our 25th anniversary and I just went with the flow and had fun. Most of the food we had left over from the party consists of the raw vegetables and dip (carrots, celery, tomatoes, etc.) At least I can snack on the veggies without any trouble.

Sorry to hear about your foot - take good care of it now so it will heal as quickly as possible. And hooray for having your brother to help. That makes it sooo much easier to follow the doctor's orders.
