I haven't blogged in a while because I have been really busy. I'm going to be in my town's Art Walk this month, so I'm getting a bunch of mosaic pieces finished so I can get them into the gallery next week. It's also been the busiest time of the year at my work. AND I've been very involved in a nonprofit arts/sustainability/wellness/g
lobal understanding nonprofit that a friend has started. Whew!
The good news is that none of this has deterred me from eating right. If anything, I seem to eat less when I'm busy, productive and happy. Plus I really appreciate the fresh local produce available this time of the year. I'm growing a few things in my garden and I try to supplement with locally grown fruits and vegetables--although lately I haven't had time to get to our town's farmers market!
Today there is a fabulous pink Schwinn cruiser bike offered on sale at Fred Meyer. I think I have to have it. I rode a similar old-style Schwinn cruiser when I was in San Diego for the Spark Your Life Convention, and it was awesome. I know that even if I have a bike with all of the gears, I'm not physically able to take on the big hills that we have around here in the Seattle area. I need to do my biking on the more gentle grades of the local bike trails. So I might as well have a simple bike. I've asked my husband to install the bike rack on my car. Won't that be just too cute, a pink Schwinn cruiser on the back of my PT Cruiser?
