I'm a person who runs outside! Okay yes, I have only done it twice, but I had some weird strange stigma attached to it. I have no problems in the gym but somehow I convinced myself that running outside was horrible and I hated it. I think that my major problem was that I didn't understand how to pace myself. I thought that people who ran outside ran FAST. I just pictured constant sprinting. My fella kindly explained to me the merits of jogging, swears he isn't slowing down for me, and we have been having a great time.
Yesterday we jogged by the Cam which beats our last London Canal jog by a million (100% less garbage and smelly). It was a sunny morning and everyone was out rowing so we could hear the coxes instructing the rowers :). The houseboat residents were stirring and everyone had such pretty houseboat gardens. A couple houseboats were on the move.
I felt totally high afterward and kept jabbering on in happiness. I just marveled that I was NOT hot while running but hot standing still. I need to remember the good feeling and keep at it.
Next Jog: Grantchester Meadows
