Week 2 Run 3 - 7 am 7/22/06 - 2.15 mi 29 min
Well, I was cocky about the weather here and I got what I deserved. It never really cooled off last night like it usually seems to here. This morning the house was 75 and humid. I also had a handful of excuses. I had not laid out my clothes to go run. I slept poorly last night. I had taken my contacts out and didn't know what it would be like to run with glasses. BUT I knew I needed to get this done and if I waited for tonight it would be hotter and I'd make up more excuses not to go. I did okay on the run. I think I am pretty scared about how tough next week is going to be on me. I felt better on all the runs today than I had the rest of the week. The shin splints are barely bothering me. I felt like I took everything slower but my time was about 2 min better than my first run. I'm going to go and try and cool down and read up on what week 3 is really all about.
