Yesterday me and my son went for a walk. It has been over 2 months since we have done any significant walking. But I needed to get out of the house.
We hit 2 km, and he started to say he was tired, but then we went up a big hill too. So I encouraged him to do 3.
We hit 3 and I encouraged him to go on, with the promise of a Powerade at the store at the top of the next hill. So away we went.
Well we got there bought our Powerades and started back. On the way back down the hill my upper leg started to cramp, we got back to the 3 km away from home mark and took a rest. And ended up hobbling home.
Driving this root is 9.7 km return trip, I used to work there and measured it one day. By my guess I did about 9.4 kms, we did take a short cut at the store. My son did about 9 km because he took another short cut up the bank to the house.
On our way back an elderly woman almost caused an accident by stopping on the highway to ask if we needed a ride.
Today my back is killing me. My son is feeling fine. And then today I had to go into work and do some more cleaning for summer shut-down.
