Just a short blog about how I am doing and whats going on. Since the beginning of March, I have lost about 18 pounds. Our work had a biggest loser contest starting the beginning of march, and at that time I weighed 309. I am now at 291. Im excited about getting into the 280's.. haven't been in that category in a long time. My weight still flucuates.. so I try not to get on the scale everyday, but sometimes I can't help it. I have learned not to get on the scale the day after I eat any chinese food from a buffett. Salt equals bloatedness! But im proud of myself when it comes to eating out. I am taking things home with me now.. and Im not eating as much at the buffetts and I try my hardest to eat things that are not going to hurt me. I do get SOME things everyonce in a while.. but its not as often anymore. I am using the calorie tracker here on sparkpeople everyday and it is helping me alot.. but I never realized how much I used to eat!!! OMG!!! I would munch all day on things that were not that bad for me.. but I ate so much and so often.. I never lost weight. I am struggling right now to keep my calories down under 1700. I have a sit down job and I find myself snacking alot.. even when Im not that hungry. Trying to stop that. One thing that I am needing to do is get more of a variety of foods in my diet.. but I don't like to cook.. so..

    That's awesome! I wish my work would do a Biggest Loser contest. Hehe competition is a great motivator!

you might already know, but just in case... if you are having a hard time sticking to 1700kcal diet, you might want to look back and evaluate what you used to eat and cut back by 250-500 kcals instead of simply drastically cutting down. My body went into starvation mode from not getting enough calories when I started here, and I did not make any progress.. now that I have reevaluated and am eating more often I am slowly loosing.
Your progress so far is awesome and you should be proud!


Little changes are the things that stick with us.
