Week 2 Run 2 - 7/20/06 6:30 am - about 2 miles 30 min
90 sec run - 2 min walk for 20 min
Well to say that I'm winded after the runs is an understatement I think. I actually thought, "If I was running with someone I would be embarassed how bad I'm huffing and puffing!" But I'm getting through the runs. I haven't really needed to quit any of them early. I'm thinking thats what is going to be good for me about this training program, the slow increase. Now 2 people have said week 3 is pretty tough so I'll have to see if I need to repeat a week or not. I had no problem getting up early this morning. I'm pretty set on my route. I do think maybe I'm pushing a little harder than I need to on the running parts. I did take 30 sec to stretch at the end of my 5 min warm up walk. I'm only getting the shin splints in one leg and pretty much only feel them when I'm walking. I'm feeling strong and good about this whole process. I NEED to get signed up for my run!
