Slap on the hand from SP, lol

Friday, June 26, 2009

Apparently I am not eating enough. I went over my minutes it my exercise and got a message that said...

You've gone over your weekly calories burned goal by a significant amount. Your calories eaten goal will not adjust automatically. If you have increased the amount of exercise you are doing, you should update your fitness settings here to make sure you are consuming enough calories to support the additional activity.

I workout 5 days a week for about an hour each time. I was eating between 1500-1600 calories ( I edited my calories when I first joined SP) . According to SP I need to consume between 1750-2100. Oops. I thought it was all about burning more calories than you eat. This seems like a science equation that I can not figure out so I am going to try eating more calories as SP suggests.

Yes, I can't figure that out either. I've received that message too but I thought it was because I wasn't using the My Nutrition part of the program, although I do use it to track my water.

Hi, I was confused about this topic, too, so I thought I would chime in. One of the things that I found helpful was going to REPORTS and then clicking on daily calorie differential. It will show your BMR (the calories you burn just pumping blood and breathing) + your exercise calories - your calories eaten. It isn't something to live by, but it's helpful to see, at least in my opinion!
