I've been going in the wrong direction this last while, and I need to get back on track! I've not been doing well at all in the exercise department, but have been trying to keep up with most of my new healthy eating habits and drinking my water. But I haven't been tracking my food, and have definitely been eating too much of the good things! We had to let our gym memberships go a few months ago, because it was too expensive, but I ordered the fitness starter kit this morning, and I have lots of videos to work with here at home.
From all the reading I've been doing, I realize that my goals aren't concrete enough and I need to have a more definite plan to reach them. I haven't been journalling or keeping track and I'm thinking I should give those things a try to see if they help. I'm going to try to concentrate not on losing weight, but on making exercise and good eating a habit, and hopefully the weight loss will be a benefit.
I tend to try to do everything all at once and then quit because it's too overwhelming, so this time I'll try to start smaller, and try to form those habits. I think therein my lies my failure.... I need to think of these changes as being for my LIFETIME.... not until I reach a certain point. So for now my stategies will be....
1. Stay within my calorie range, (and that means not trying to keep them as low as possible!)
2. Drink my water
3. Get SOME exercise every day - at the LEAST walk a mile with Leslie Sansone
4. Strength train 3 times a week
