My dh needs your prayers!

Sunday, June 21, 2009

Hi guys I haven't been on here much, had a few minor things going on at home and the horses and the farm has kept me busy.
This week though has been the worse week of my life. My dh came down with the flu or so we thought last saturday, nausea vomitting ect. It wasn't getting better so on monday I urged him to see the doc, he refused being the stubborn man he is... Weds day I came home from work and he was jaundice(yellow) and looking very ill. We ended up admitting him and he was diagnosed with a fatty liver after multitude tests. I know it does not sound so bad, the liver is fat. Well dh had4 of the risk factors; diabetes, hypothyroidism, obesity and high triglycerides. We thought it might have been cancer but thank god it is not. He does need a liver transplant in the next 3-5 years, so he really needs every prayer you can give him. I know I don't know any of you but you always have been supportive of me through this weight loss journey and right now that seems so superficial. I will post when I can, I'm spending day and night at the hospital, my daughters and neighbors have been caring for the animals and my friends at the hospital have been so amazing with their love and support I will never forget it. So if you can think of him when you get down on your knees tonight or when you go to your church services I will be so grateful.

You poor thing, you must be so scared. Close your eyes, take a deep breath and KNOW that GOD in all is grace is with you both right now and is doing what needs to be done for both of you. It will be ok the liver is an awesome organ. Until you can get that transplant and you will, have your husband consult a natural doctor and get on milk thistle if his doctors ok it... And God willing he may never even need a transplant. emoticon

My thoughts and prayers go out to you. Just this week my DH was diagnosed with cancer of the prostate and will need radiation. I know what you are going through and I will certainly have your DH in my prayers too.

I will pray for you and your dh. I pray for God to give you a spirit of calmness that only He can provide in these difficult time. I pray for healing of the liver and that a transplant will be available when needed. May the Lord of healing bring the best doctors and nurses at your side in this situation.

In Jesus Name Amen

I am so sorry to hear of your DH's illness. I have added you both to my prayer list. You will need prayers as much as he will. Remember to take care of your own health through all of this. I know that's hard to do...I've been there. Being the caregiver is harder than being the patient.
