For the first time in 28 years, it will just be my wife and I on father's day. Don't get me wrong this is not a poor me tale. I am glad we have four sons, who grew up, (too fast), and moved on with their lives. I am sure that we will spend some time with our oldest son, David. He is the only one that settled in the area. Daniel is living in Dallas, and is spending the day with his father in law who lives in Quitman, TX. Andrew is in the Army, and is currently in Iraq. Paul, the youngest, is in the Marines and is in Pensacola, FL. I am sure I will be getting phone calls from them before the day is over. My message is to you younger fathers. Cherish the times you have with your children. There will come a time when you will miss their tiny arms around you, giving you a hug. Time can go by so quickly. Before you now it they are gone. Love them all you can. Hug the stuffing out of them, and spoil them, without making them brats. Then you will have memories that will last a life time.
