If I Could Reach Through My Computer, I'd Give You a Hug

Friday, June 19, 2009

Honestly, you guys have been gems in helping to get my engine restarted. I'd stalled out big time, but am slowly but surely gaining my groove back. I'm touched to read advice that reminds me to do the right thing. One sparkfriend asked if I've been exercising enough? Nope. And I know that exercise has always been terrific therapy for me. So I went out for a great sunshine walk. Thanks for the reminder. Another friend has repeated concern over my stress level. Oh yeah, I remember that I'm supposed to deal with that, not get used to it. Thanks for the reminder. Someone else checks in to mention a tip about night eating - put a phat photo up on the fridge. No problem - that was me 30 lbs ago, so I ran that off and put it up. The result - no night eating last night. (smiling) Thanks for the reminder. And one person invited me to let her help me through this, and I was touched. There were many others of a general nature advising to keep on keeping on, and every single one was a boost. Thanks a mil, sparkspals. I am coming out of the abyss.

oh, and that pic on the fridge door was one of the first things i did after starting SP. i don't know where i read it, but i guess it was one of the motivational articles. i chose two, one at my worst weight, one at an awesome weight when i was 24. it worked wonders.
