Mosaic Pieces

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

Ever since I came home from the Spark Your Life and I Can Do It! Conferences in San Diego, I've been upping my game as a mosaic artist. I've repurposed several rooms in my house so that I have a mosaic studio to work in. I was in my first-ever show as a professional artist and I sold some pieces. And now I'm going to be in my town's monthly Art Walk in July, so I am scurrying to create more inventory. I think the conferences in early May were just what I needed to get my life going in this direction! Oh, yeah, and I've been losing weight pretty steadily, too.

Today I'm off to the sculpture studio where I create some of my own tiles, then I'm walking with a group of women who are trying to save a nice old Victorian house and use it as an art venue. It's also my husband's birthday and we'll be going to a great healthy Mediterranean restaurant to celebrate. Life is good!

You inspire me! I have been saving up pieces to do my own projects. I did a glass bottle once and enjoyed it very much. I have never taken a class but bought several books. You pieces are beautiful. You have been blessed with gifted talent. Keep the good work up.
