"You get credit for what you finish, not what you start."
WOW, 3 weeks on a motorcycle trip without access to a scale or a computer. I had learned enough from Sparkpeople that I was able to make healthy decisions.
The RFTW ride from LA to DC to honor Veterans and those who support veterans was again inspiring. The rural heart of America really appreciates and honors our veterans. Being able to visit VA Centers as we cross the country and visiting the "Wall" to honor those i served with is rewarding. Also, visiting the WWII memorial to honor my father's efforts is always enjoyable.
Overall, the motorcycle trip didn't hurt my efforts. Although I wasn't able to keep up with my strength training I did make a lot of healthy food choices. Net result, I dropped 2 pounds in weight. I was not able to maintain my current level of hydration on the ride so when I returned and initiated my 64 to 80 oz of daily water I quickly added back the 2 pounds. I have been back 2-1/2 weeks and finally was able to drop weight again. I'm close to my initial goal and I'm working hard to change my routine to drop these last few pounds.
