As a teacher, June gets busy and since I live an hour away from the school where I work I didn't come home between when I get off work and the end of year performances that happened three nights this week. So it was a really tough week to eat right and exercise etc. because I had LONG days away from home Wed, Thur, and Fri.
My mistake was in not truly preparing ahead and packing more of my meals.
On Thursday I wasn't I forgot my lunch and was running late and wound up having all three meals at restaurants. Though my morning choice, the bacon breakfast sandwich at Starbucks with a tall non-fat mocha, wasn't the BEST, I had an Asian chicken salad at Panera Bread for lunch and a nature valley granola bar for my snack. Then, when the school took all us faculty members out for dinner I had a Caribbean Salad at Don Cuco's. On Fri. when I wound up at Chili's for dinner I chose their Quesadilla explosion salad, but didn't eat all of the quesadilla that came with it (just half). The preservatives and salts and junk that STILL comes with restaurant foods (as well as the lack of sleep more importantly) still took its toll as by the end of Friday I was horribly stuffed up.
However, weight loss wise, In the end, this week I've lost 4 Lbs.!!!!!! When I thought it would either be an up week or at best a maintenance week because of not exercising much in formal ways! I guess moving all those chairs (all three days) and scrubbing down walls, cabinets and toys at the school on Friday burned more calories than I imagined!
The nose is almost cleared up already and I'm feeling much better. Plus, I get to go back to work on Monday and get back on track with a more normal (regular) schedule. Although, I am a little worried because my hours are extended and I'll be getting home later in the evening now. If you have any great ideas for crockpot recipes please pass them along!
