Jogging: Catching On...!

Saturday, June 13, 2009

Had a nice chat with a fellow local Sparkie (LADYWEZ) at one of our local parks today. We were planning a bit more for our SparkRally at the Relay For Life next Fri. / Sat. June 19-20. REALLY looking forward to this! Although our SparkTeam will only consist of 6, three of us plan to be there round the clock with others coming to help us out for long stretches of time also.

Afterward my DW and I went for a walk on the lovely paved trails around the park and I decided to jog. Each time I do this lately (and I'm doing this more and more...!) I continue to be AMAZED over how TERRIFIC it feels to JOG!

In some ways I think it is easier to jog than to power walk! Jogging just comes so naturally, whereas power walking involves really pushing the limits of what one normally does when one walks. I probably did more jogging today than I have ever done...EVER! Felt WONDERFUL! Woo hoo!

It's amazing you saying that cause I just am beginning to feel the affects of running myself and YOU've met me you know how small I am for me to take up running is like speed walking to you LOL!. nonetheless, I too have been passionate about it I feel so rejuvenated after I take my shower and refreshed.
My whole entire body feels light and my legs feel a slight gentle tingle after the run.. it's fabulous. so rock on with your running it's great. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Yep, I see it coming too - Don the Runner!

I think a team of 6 for the Relay is great, considering this is the first time you're doing this together. WTG in advance for your efforts.

Enjoy your Sunday,
Michelle

Don, It is time to become a runner and do a 5k race. I started running at 51 and now I have 2 5k's under my belt and another one this thursday. I never that I would be a runner. try the C25k program and do it slow and you could be ready for a race in about 3-4 months.

thats wonderful that you can jog aliitle!!!
EnJoyed your blog.....
