i remember my teachers in the past always saying to set mini-goals, something tangible so that you are more motivated to go after the real task in mind. i always thought it was such a crock. in the back of your mind, the big picture will always be there & seems to get further away. but through this, i can see why the mentors always insist on it.

it. all. makes. sense. now.

i set to lose 3 pounds this week. i did it. i feel phenomenal. i'm still a little behind of the track, but only by, maybe, a pound. so, i have my mind set on another 3 pounds for next week.

all the mini-goals are making me work harder. it's kind of like it all hit me upside the head. like, DUH, rachel.
