I have renewed motivation and am serious about getting serious! I have made a few changes to try and hep me along the way.
- I have posted my (dreaded) measurements. Not so much because I think you all are just DYING to know - but to hold myself accountable - if I put them up publicly, what could be more accountable than that? I will measure myself every 4 weeks.
- I have posted (gasp!) pictures. Ewwwww. If that's not enough to motivate me, I'm not sure what is.... I will be updating with progress pics every 4-6 weeks.
- I have renewed my commitment to eat healthy foods, not just low-cal foods.
I have revamped my workout schedule in the following ways: 1) I will wake up early every morning (6 days a week) to do at least 30 minutes of cardio (was formerly doing it in the evening after my son went to bed.) 2) I will do strength training every night (6 days a week) and focus on different areas of the body to allow myself to heal. 3) I will do at least 3 core exercises after every strength training session. 4) I will continue to run on the weekends, training for my fist 5K in August.
So, I will see how this goes for 8 weeks. If I am not getting the results I feel I should be getting, I may look to a more structured program like ChaLEAN or Body or Life. We''ll see.
