Neither Snow nor Rain nor Stomach Bug will Delay our local SparkTeam's Relay for LIFE!

Well at least I got the worst of the day out of the way early on...! A nasty stomach bug kept me up through much of the night. Good part is when this happens I stop eating and only do water.
Things settled down by the afternoon when I had the pleasure of huddling in REAL TIME with members of our local SparkTeam the Binghamton Area Losers...Woo Hoo! We met to prepare for our first Spark Rally at the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life coming on June 19th & 20th. We'll be keeping someone on the relay track for 24 hours as we raise donations to fight cancer.
We had the special pleasure of another SparkPeople member from outside the Binghamton area (Tioga County) joining us at our Spark Rally also...WTG MIKEEBBERS! Took a few pictures to post on our Team page as well as our Relay page with the American Cancer Society.
Today's weather was PERFECT for Sparking outdoors so I went on a great walk / jog at our local Otsiningo Park where our SparkTeam met. Here's a picture of the four of us who met today (Erin, Melissa, Don & Tara):
How terrific it was to at last meet fellow members of SparkPeople right in my backyard! I am truly hoping this will be the first of many gatherings for us!
During my walk I just buzzed right along, despite not getting a good night's sleep and *feeling it*! Here and there (when I had the sidewalk all to myself and wouldn't feel self-conscious) I would pick up the pace and jog instead of my fast power walk. Blame Billy Joel "We Didn't Start The FIRE!" How can one walk and not jog to THAT?!?! :-)
I'm not really pushing myself, but am surprised over how good it actually feels to jog, even if just a smidgen!
All in all, QUITE the pleasant day!
