Another Friday and the scale did not M00000Ve at all. I speak to my sponsor every day. I think I was even eating more? I am walking. NADA!! Well I just joined Jenny for the 20/20 program..except I all most chocked when they came out with 3 bags of food and asked for $179.00!! GULP!! I want to do it because I am not eating enough calories and I have been trying since Feb and my weight stays exactly the same every week so I am Very hard up and now totally BROKE!! Today, Saturday I walked 4 miles for Children's cancer. Even when the activities started I was the only one on the track !! I FEEL good!!

I'm reading a book called "Such a Pretty Fat". It's supposed to be humorous, and some parts are, in a snide sarcastic way, and it took forever to get to the part where she started actually losing weight! She goes on a lot about jenny Craig and how they seemed to her to just be promoting sales of their food. and not all that concerned with teaching people how to eat real food in the real world. That said, I work with a delightful man who's lost a good 60 pounds and kept it off using the sonoma diet ( a book) mostly because his wife is his own lil jenny craig, who cooks all his portion controlled nutritious meals for him on the weekend. I wish I had someone to do it for me sometimes. I looked at Jenny when I was married, but couldn't justify spending as much for 'separate food for me' as I spent feeding a family of 6.
These days, I must admit, my meals are simple. I start most days with a smoothie and a good whole grain toast, which gets me fruits out of the way right off the bat. Just like exercising in the morning, you've got it done and anything added to it is a bonus! Then, a lot of times I keep LeanCuisine's and Healthychoice meals in the freezer at work. 220 calories- 350 all prepared for me. That's as close as I can get to jenny - 4 meals on sale for $10 gets me through the lunch/work week. Then I just have to be careful after work. Restaurants - I split what i get, bring some home - take it to work the next day.
However, with the 'diet' lunches and restaurant, I've notice that, even though I don't have any blood pressure issues; when I get something with a hec of a lot of sodium, that's when my scale starts the dance around those pounds that I thought I just got rid of!!!!! Water retention!
anyway, the author of the book is compelling in that you assume from the title that she got successful along the way - but I'll leave it to you to find out if you are so inspired.
We all find what works best for us, and jenny may be your jump start.
