Ok, so it's a Friday (finally) and as usual someone in the office brings in a "treat" for everyone...this week it's donuts. Now, when I was pregnant I would have been the first one there, enjoying one if not two. However, as I'm only 5-6 lbs. away from my pre-pregnancy weight, I'm not going anywhere near the kitchen until I knew they're gone. As I'm sitting here congratulating myself on being strong, a co-worker walks by and reminds me that there are donuts available in the kitchen. I politely thanked him and say "thanks but I think I'll pass" and what does he do? Rolls his eyes and says "you're not on one of those post-pregnancy diets are you?" Then he proceeds to say, "come on, it's Friday." Um, hello? What is with that?!?! First, what is so bad about wanting to lose your pregnancy weight and second, just because it's Friday are we supposed to stuff our faces with sugary treats?? It seems people feel better about eating stuff like that when there are others doing it as well. Obviously there is nothing wrong with indulging here and there, but if someone chooses not to, why do people feel the need to make comments?
