Starting Over

Thursday, May 28, 2009

During my crisis over my friend I just quit everything due to the emotional stuff I was then dealing with, my weight in the morning may be back to where it was when I started none the less starting over is the only option or maybe just getting back on track!

I am thankful for the ability to start over as I learn from my mistakes...You are making progress as you learn from yours too! We so often utilize food as a coping mechanism during times of crisis...as you go through this stressful time make great efforts to eat healthy! emoticon

You will feel so much better when you get back on your program. And don't get down on yourself. Remember "we don't drown by falling in the water, we drown by staying there". Time to get out of the water! I find that if I have lost weight, then gained some back, it usually comes off pretty quickly if I jump right back into my program. Best to you!

Stay strong - I also just had an emotional crisis (not anywhere as intense as yours, but emotions are emotions) When we eat because of emotional stress, we end up hurting ourselves. Put it behind you. Today is new day - return to your program. This is a life time journey, not a diet. There will always be ups and downs, stresses beyond our control. Everyone at SP is here to help you. Good luck. AND - don't weigh yourself for a week or so - just return to healthy eating and exercise. No guilt allowed.

It is so easy to put it on versus take it off. I am easily distracted with emotional things and I get off track and linger in one place.

Wish you all the best as you begin your journey again. Hope you find lots of support and strength at spark people.

It sounds like you are really having a hard time right now both emotionally and with your eating. I am sorry for your pain. Please do something for yourself right now, maybe just taking a walk and taking some deep breaths, that sounds so lame with all your friend is going through, I will say a prayer for you and her.
