Today when I got to the gym, my legs (esp my quads) were very sore. I got on the treadmill, started walking... Once it hit 2 minutes I increased my speed, but my body was not wanting to get into the grove! Well, I continued to run. I even told myself that I could do 20 minutes instead of the 30 I was planning on. Well, thank goodness I ran through until I got back into the grove! I felt like I had a second wind and ran to my goal of 30 minutes. Then I lifted and was able to increase all of my weights. I rewarded myself by stopping at Target afterwards and I bought some new protein powder that I had been thinking of getting. I bought the Pure Protein brand, chocolate flavor. It has 25 gm of protein, can't remember the carbs, I think it's like 4? It's whey protein. Anyways, I tried some and it was pretty good. It was only $17.99 for a big jug of it. I think I'll go back later this week and get the vanilla so that I can use it for cooking or add flavors to it. Tomorrow is my kickboxing circuit class, I'm really looking forward to that! I had to miss last week's class because I worked. After that I'll do weights. My kids have running class tomorrow night at the gym, so I'll probably do a little more cardio then (I usually do the stair mill and look at a magazine during that time). So I guess my lesson learned today is that when I don't feel like working out, to at least START and see if it ends up clicking and I change my mind.
