I lost my weight very unpredictably. I decided to loose weight, and just expected it to fall off, and it did. At least that's what I thought had happened until I saw all these advertisements everywhere for acai berry as a weight-loss product.
See, back in 2007, when very few people knew about acai berry's many health benefits, I was on a test panel for V8. I hate V8, but gave their new acai mixed berry juice a try anyway, and fell instantly in love because of it's juice-like flavor and texture. When it finally came out on the market, I bought 4 bottles, and drank it every chance I got (a glass about twice a day). Suddenly I wasn't eating as much (I was getting a lot of my vitamins from the V8, so my body wasn't craving as many nutrients from solid foods), and I was loosing about 7lbs a week without exercising or consciously changing my diet or eating habits.
After I had lost nearly 100lbs, I saw the advertisements begin, and realized what had been happening. I still love acai juice and pulp, and now I use it in cooking as well as juices.
It sounds kind of corny, but I used acai berry to loose all the weight, without knowing it. I didn't take the acai pills, and I've heard that they don't work as well anyway. I do know that whole foods are much better than pills or vitamins in all cases, as I've become a health consultant now, and know a lot more due to my additional education.
I'm sure that my progress would have been even faster had I decided to eat a healthier diet and get in some exercise in addition to drinking my tasty new juice. *smile*
