The past few days I've been logging my food entries, I've been saving frequent eats in the favorites to make it easier, and have been searching other member lists for brand names not listed. What I've found is that it is something I should be doing all the time. I am horrible at guesstimating calories/fat. I tend to way underestimate portions and I am sure that is why my weight hasn't been moving much lately. So I've been tracking and I am noticing trends. For one thing, I will be using a lot less half and half for my morning coffees. I didn't realize how quickly the fat and calories from that alone was adding up!
As for the exercise, I am on week 3 of the c25k. I did take a couple of rest days, so today will be day two of week three. My left knee has been sore from the last run. So I've been icing and now I am trying to incorporate more stretching through some easy yoga tapes.
I suppose one thing I've learned on my journey with Spark People since March is that this is really about learning a new way of living. It's not a diet, it's a way to fuel my body, mind, and soul. I find that I need to commit myself every day to continue on this journey because it nourishes me, I have more energy, I can get out stress and sadness through exercise, and it just feels good. The weight that I am losing is staying off and I will get to where I want to be slowly but surely, it's a journey.
