So- as I already stated here, I took several weeks off. I have been diligent this last week about being active. I haven't gone to the gym every day, but I have at the very least gone for a 2 mile walk every day. 2 days ago, I went to the gym and lifted. I am so incredibly super sore. I cannot even express how much it hurts. But, it's not in an oh my goodness I did something totally wrong kind of way. It doesn't hurt when I am just sitting here typing in a semi relaxed state. But when I go to lift up my 2 year old for my morning slobber of a kiss, my triceps are screaming. And even after putting the child back down, my arms are killing me for a good 3 minutes. Isn't it grand? This is what muscles feel like. Build 'em up baby! And when you feel like you can't go anymore, read this and think about how nice it is to know that you are making a difference in your body. Even if you can't see it yet.
