Pollan is so SHARP! He gets right down to brass tacks regarding how this country can turn itself around a place the health and wellness of our citizens ABOVE the needs of multi-national corporations!

Of course SparkPeople can have a tremendous impact on our national health and wellness as well...! :-)

    i had the opportunity of hearing him speak a few days ago. he is really inspirational...perhaps mostly because he's so rational. his point of view, though radical in comparison to the status quo, always comes across as being temperate and well-reasoned. he's a very good speaker, too!

    Don, with my son having Cancer, and seeing the sick people at the cancer center, I've decided to eat organic foods, as I don't want all that junk in my body. I've listen to Michael Pollan before. Thanks.

    I just attended a Motivational Seminar and there was a speaker there, a doctor with a degree in fitness and nutrition and he went over everything you should not eat, and he ended his speech with this very thing..
And if you think about it, it does make sense, after all what do you see on TV at night..Junk Food commercials, fast food ads, ...how often do you see Fruits and veggies advertised, or whole grains..not often enough..

I really enjoyed the seminar...

    It's an intriguing concept. We penguins already live it. I don't exactly eat Mrs. Paul's Fish & Chips in the antarctic.

No, but it would be an interesting experiment to only eat foods that don't scream at us from billboards, newspapers, radio and TV.
