Deuteronomy 7:7-8 is a good reminder of how God chooses those the Lord wishes to use. In these verses, Moses reminds the people of Israel that they were not chosen because of anything they had done or because of any special trait they possessed. They were chosen because God chose them and was keeping a covenant promise the Lord had made with their ancestors.

We must remember, we were not chosen because of any special trait we possess. We were chosen because the Lord wanted us and wanted to do great things in and through us.
