Health News Article - Extra Pounds in Mid-Life Affect Later Mobility

Friday, May 01, 2009

Just read this article. My response - Scary. Didnt really strike me that the impact would be so huge, eventhough after weight loss. Now that I am reading it, I remember what my colleague said to me about one year back. She advised me to lose weight for my health. She shared that when she was young, she was overweight too. About my weight, she said. She lost weight for health sake and now when she is old, she said that she suffers from knee pain. Her knees had taken too much pressure bcos of the extra weight when she was young. Eventhough she is of healthy weight range now, she is still paying the prize for her past. I cant imagine how worser fate would I be if I were to remain the same weight as now. . . . . . I must print this into my mind and remind myself when I want to eat excessive food or skip exercise.

Another point that I want to say, The Heat Is Killing Me. LOL. Its so hot nowadays that I feel tired the whole day. Its like the sun is draining all my energy. Once sun set, I feel so alive. Could I be a vampire in my past life? ha ha ha :p
