Well now, here I am having spent a few short weeks on here and the change in my attitude towards getting in shape and getting healthy has improved. Our last grocery shopping list, had my husband and I looking at all our healthy options and alternatives, compared to what we had been eating ( which really wasn't that un-healthy). My problem has had a lot to do with my GERD, and my husband's deployment to Iraq which thankfully ended last October. I have been under going constant doctor's visits to take care of the reflux issue and had been neglecting my thyroid problems. I have just recently undergone a gastroscopy and am healing up very nicely, I still have a weak flap (keeping the contents down) but the erosions have healed up. My internist came back also saying that my thyroid is functioning with-in normal ranges which is something I also needed to hear, just because I hadn't had my thyroid checked, didn't mean I wasn't taking my meds. ( I have hashimoto's thyroiditis, which can have me feeling like I am on a roller coaster ride with my health sometimes. ) All that aside, I received the all clear for working out, starting slowly and at a pace which won't make the stomach acid churn. My bike is due to come back from the shop ( can't wait to go bike riding again) and we are due to get our elliptical delivered any day now.
I am having problems logging my nutritional information as so many of my options are not on there, with that said I will keep track of it on the home front and see how that goes. I am an avid water drinker anyways and always have been....it's what keeps me young.
In the meantime, while waiting on the delivery and my bike, I have been making use of our wii fit, and also been doing a bit more walking. It feels good knowing I am taking control again and can't wait to see where this takes me.
