Nothing quite so happy making as realizing as you're rinsing off your seeds that they've sprouted. In this case, it was my buckwheat groats.

My first attempt failed, as I suspected it might; the buckwheat was on the old side. I went to the health food store on Friday and bought more and it's worked out great. Now to roast it up and find my Nourishing Traditions cookbook (yup, still haven't found it) and make yogurt dough for my kasha knishes. I really have a hankering for them. Cept I'm out of mustard, gotta get that, too. Anyone know any good mustard recipes? I realized the other day I could probably make my own.

Now to get my wheat berries going cause I'd love some homemade crackers, too. emoticon

Hope everyone has a good week!
