Today is Sunday April 26, 2009 this is my very first blog so I'm not sure where to start.
Well as of Monday April 20, I have been weight training with a friend from high school and her trainer. I have been doing the same routine for the last few months with no new results including weight loss and it was just getting old so I thought I would try something new.
The first day I was really scared that i would not be able to really lift or do anything. I would always use the elliptical, tread mill and bike downstairs cause I was too shy and didn't think I belonged upstairs with the free weights. Oh how I was soo wrong. I lifted lots of things and done a lot more of things I never realized I could actually do with no problems, of course the next day I was very sore but I kept going working different muscle groups of course and each day I was a little sore however it was a good sore feeling..lol crazy yes I know but it gave me a sense of accomplishment NO PAIN NO GAIN.
I have been going everyday with them except Saturday which was really scary for me, so I went to the ymca as usual and done my cardio and when it was time to go upstairs I just went with no hesitation. Yeah I was a little nervous that I wouldn't know what to do but when I opened the door to the free weight room and seen nobody was there but me I just took a bite out of my protein bar, turned up my Mp3 player, took a big drink of my water, and went at it doing everything I had learned in just the short week prior.
Before I knew it the time had passed so quickly, I had been there for 2hrs. all by my self and yes I did everything I had learned and then some things I had seen some other members doing that I wanted to try when I was by myself just in case I looked crazy doing them...lol.
I am sooo proud of my self and I can't wait to tell my friend and my trainer.
One of the most important things I have noticed this week is my muscles are actually showing already in just 1 week of working out and I have lost 3 lbs.....I can't wait to see what muscles will be showing up next week!!
